Flights from Doncaster to Poznan
Poznan is one of Poland's oldest cities and is located in the west-central area of the country on the banks of the River Warta. Poznan is considered one of the wealthiest cities in Poland and is home to many large European companies. Stary Browar has won an award for best shopping centre in Europe and along with Galeria Malta and the Hotel Bazar combine to make the city a retail hotspot. The old town houses most of the cities wealth of historical buildings as well as its many bars, clubs and restaurants. Must-visits are the beautiful medieval old town square and town hall, Cathedral Island, St Peter's and St Paul's Cathedral and the Emperor's castle. There are a huge number of bars, restaurants and hotels to suit everyone's tastes and budgets.
The airport is just 5km west of the centre making it easily accessible and relatively cheap to transfer. Buses run regularly. Taxis should cost around 30-35PLN. Poznan is an important railway junction making major European cities such as Berlin, Warsaw and even Moscow very accessible.
